What this site is, how it describes a property, and what it deliberately leaves out.
Why this guide exists and who it is written for
Hospitality content is almost always written to close a booking. It is dense with adjectives, thin on location, and it changes its tone depending on what it is trying to sell. Ultimate Vacation exists for the reader who wants the opposite: a document that says what a property is, where it stands, and what surrounds it, and then gets out of the way.
The guide is written for travellers who prefer to read before they decide. That means readers comparing two properties on the same criteria, readers who care more about a setting than a feature list, and readers who would rather be told a fact plainly than persuaded of it.
It is also written for anyone who wants to understand the shape of a stay without being funneled toward one. Seven properties are enough to make a readable whole, and the structure is designed to hold more without changing its manners.
How properties are described — the same categories applied to every entry
Every entry in the guide is built from the same categories, in the same order: the setting, the rooms, the dining, and the surroundings. The setting starts with the address and the region. The rooms are described as a category of stay, not as an inventory of them.
Applying the same categories to every entry is what makes the entries comparable. When two properties are described in the same shape, a reader can line them up and see where they differ — including where one entry has nothing to say, which is information in its own right.
The tone is fixed for the same reason. Formal and measured, stating what a property is and stopping there. No superlatives, no urgency, no invented amenities. If a fact was not supplied for an entry, the entry simply does not contain it.
What this site does not do: no bookings, no payments, no availability, no ranking
This site does not take reservations of any kind. There is no booking engine, no room selector, no date picker and no availability check. It states nothing about what a stay costs, and it does not ask for payment details or process payments of any description.
It does not hold availability either. What is free at a property on any given day is a fact only that property's own listing can state, and the guide defers to it completely. Every entry in the catalog ends with a single link to the property's official listing page, where details and availability live.
The guide also does not rank. The order of entries within a collection is an editorial order, not a score. Nothing on this site implies that one property is better than another, and the independence notice at the top of every page states the position plainly.

Property names and trade marks are used for identification and description only, and they remain the property of their respective owners. Nothing published here is an offer, a promise or an agreement, and nothing on this site is written on behalf of a property.
That independence is structural, not just a statement: because the site takes no bookings and earns no commission, there is no mechanism by which a property could influence what the guide says about it. The notice at the top of every page — and the disclaimer for the full position — exists so that claim can be checked on each visit.
